COS 5 CORPS VISITS ZAMZAMA CAR PARKING PLAZA

Karachi, 8 Nov 2017: Zamzama Car Parking Plaza is a conceptually versatile development project being built with a reinvigorated spirit and commitment adjacent to Zamzama Park in DHA Phase-V. The Rupees 1 billion project consists of a modern two level state-of-the-art car parking facility with a capacity to accommodate 400 vehicles at a time. The parking plaza will provide a big relief to the people mitigating the stressed traffic and parking problems in Zamzama Commercial Area and adjacent surrounding localities/roads.

The gigantic project has a commercial component as well that will provide most modern shopping and entertainment facilities to visitors enhancing the value and stature of the area. The contractor has already mobilized to the site and the work is speedily in progress. The project is stipulated to be completed in the first half of year 2018.

Chief of Staff (COS) 5 Corps Brig Muhammad Irfan visited Zamzama Car Parking Plaza project site where he was given an in-depth briefing on the progress of ongoing work. COS appreciated the efficacy, development strategy and quality of project work. He described it as an important project that will resolve the intricate traffic congestion problem in the posh Zamzama Commercial Area.

Later the COS visited the adjacent revamped/upgraded Defence Authority Zamzama Park, the most spacious, popular and attractive park of DHA, which is frequented by a large number of people from all around the city. He praised the standard of maintenance and upkeep of the park and described it as an exciting arena of the metropolis that provides the best walking, jogging and sports facilities to the people.

ADMINISTRATOR VISITS DHA PHASE-VIII

Karachi, 12 October 2017: Administrator DHA Brig Shahid Hassan Ali visited DHA Phase-VIII Development Directorate Office to review the progress of the ongoing development projects in various sectors of Phase-VIII. Acting Project Director Ph-VIII and Chief Engineer Col (R) Mansoor Ahmed gave a detailed briefing on the progress of ongoing development ventures and status of futuristic projects.

Administrator appreciated the zeal, professional exuberance and engineering excellence with which the infrastructure sector development work of Phase-VIII has been completed. He directed Phase-VIII Directorate to intensify its efforts for ensuring availability of electricity, water and gas in left over sectors at the earliest so that they are opened for construction soon.

Administrator said that the development in shape of wonderful initiatives/interventions made in Phase-VIII including E-tagging to check the entry of vehicles in the area for improved security, ICT plan based on fiber optics cable and development of a state-of-the-art graveyard equipped with digital cameras/computerized internet system is harbinger of new era of progress and prosperity in the area. He asked Phase-VIII Dev Dte to ensure completion of these projects with utmost precision and excellence at the earliest to ensure provision of a qualitative and exclusive life style to its residents.

Administrator stressed on making Phase-VIII extensively green and beautiful through versatile horticultural interventions. He reviewed the progress of development of new parks/nurseries in the area, development of sewerage treatment plant, gasification project and laying of electricity infrastructure including solar power lights. He directed PD Phase-VIII Development to further enhance the efforts for speedy completion of these projects maintaining engineering and professional excellence.

DG W&R GHQ VISITS DHA KARACHI

Karachi, 22 Sep 2017: Maj Gen Muhammad Humayun Saleem, Director General Welfare and Rehabilitation GHQ visited DHA Karachi Head Office and spent a busy time there. On arrival he was received by Administrator DHA Brig Shahid Hassan Ali. DG W&R had an exclusive meeting with Administrator in which matters pertaining to DHA’s working policies, development plans and welfare oriented projects were discussed. DG appreciated the efficacy, vision and forward looking approach of DHA and termed it impressive and progressive in its essence.

Later Director General attended a meeting in which he was briefed on DHA’s organization, new initiatives and futuristic projects. He was also given an update on DHA City Karachi (DCK) master plan, development strategy and interventions made to make the upcoming sustainable and modern city livable at the earliest. DG appreciated the high standard of professional efficiency achieved by DHA which is reassuring and substantiate DHA’s credibility in the field of development and town planning.

Maj Gen Humayun Saleem said that DHA Karachi is the oldest and most prestigious Housing Authority of Pakistan which has established bench mark standards in town planning for other organizations to emulate. He asked DHA management to carry on with their sustained and dedicated efforts to uphold DHA’s good name, reputation and credibility at all cost.

AMBASSADOR OF PAKISTAN TO BOSNIA HERZEGOVINA CALLS ON ADMINISTRATOR DHA

Karachi, 31 August 2017, 2017: Lt. Gen Saleem Nawaz (Retd) called on Administrator DHA Brig Shahid Hassan Ali in his office. They discussed various matters of mutual interest.

The General Officer appreciated the efficacy and vision of DHA with reference to its community oriented projects and various dynamic initiatives being taken by the Housing Authority for the welfare and well being of its residents. He said that DHA was a leading Housing Authority of the country which has established benchmark standards in land development and community living.

Administrator thanked the Ambassador for his kind remarks and said that DHA is committed to provision of best living environment to its residents with a progressive vision for the future.

MD SIEMENS CALLS ON ADMINISTRATOR DHA

Karachi, 30 August 2017, 2017: MD Siemens Mr Helmut Von Struve alongwith his team visited Defence Housing Authority Head Office and had a meeting with Administrator DHA Brig Shahid Hassan Ali and DHA officials. They discussed matters of mutual interest pertaining to technical affairs. The meeting was held in a frank and cordial manner and will help in developing long term relations between the two organizations.

DG ENGRS GHQ CALLS ON ADMINISTRATOR DHA

Karachi, Aug 10: Director General Engrs GHQ Maj Gen Muhammad Ajmal Iqbal, HI(M) called on Administrator DHA Brig Shahid Hassan Ali in his Office. Administrator apprised the General Officer about the details of the ongoing development projects in DHA/DCK and the various community oriented initiatives taken and interventions made by DHA for the welfare and wellbeing of residents. The general Officer appreciated the efficacy, strategic planning and the progressive vision of the Housing Authority for the future.

ADMINISTRATOR VISITS DHA MEDICAL CENTRE

Karachi, 25 July 2017: DHA Medical Centre is a modern and well equipped medical setup that provides best medical facilities to DHA employees and their families in particular and emergency/first aid medical services to DHA residents in general. Alongwith routine medical treatment, DHA Medical Centre is very active in other health related activities as a corporate social responsibility for the residents, especially the under privileged.

Administrator DHA Brig Shahid Hassan Ali visited DHA Medical Centre and met the doctors and para medical staff there. He appreciated the dedication and dynamism of the medical staff and asked them to continue working with a missionary zeal and a sense of commitment to serve the ailing humanity. He asked them to show courtesy, care and utmost attention to patients in all their dealings. He interacted with doctors/staff in a frank and candid manner.

Administrator approved the plan for renovation and revamping of Medical Centre to provide better and effective treatment and medical facilities to patients. He said that DHA will provide all facilities and meet all requirements of Medical Centre for provision of state-of-the-art medical facilities at the centre.

Administrator gave an award of Rs. 1 million for the welfare/wellbeing of para medical staff.
